Flash Game: Moon Duster

Here's the game I created for the JayIsGames.com competition.

I didn't win. I didn't even place in the finals. It's cool. I still think the game is a good one. The games that made the finals are mostly games that use a more complex "Ball Physics" function. Mine was pretty simple - click the ball and it bounces!

I am just happy that I was accepted into the competition. This game probably took me about 5 hours to create the artwork and the levels, and then another couple of hours to update it with the new levels and obstacles. Most of the code was already built in my "Ick Flick" game I built last year, but I still had to change quite a bit for this game to work the way I wanted it to.

There's a ball boundary bounce function, a bunch of hitTests, a scoring system, obstacles, a score watcher (if score <=0, then go to next level), ah and the O2 gauge. I really love making these games. Thanks to FlashKit.com for advice and support.

I'm sure I can re-skin it for a paying client in the future.

Enjoy:

What do you think?
1. How far did you get?
2. Was it too easy?
3. Was it too hard?
